Rohan Burdett

Rohan Burdett is a Bangkok-based Australian lawyer and international development practitioner. His expertise includes law and justice, security sector reform, and public administration. Rohan current consulting work includes advising an institution-building project for Iraq's Ministry of Interior and developing police training projects in Asia. Other recent consulting experience includes chief of party roles managing major judicial reform and governance projects for Iraq, and rule of law projects in Nepal and Thailand. During almost ten years in the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Rohan focused on international security issues and had long term postings as Counsellor (Political) in South Korea and as a political/economic officer in Papua New Guinea. Rohan's other major international experience includes providing legal expertise to the Solomon Islands Government during 2002-3 and undertaking a military deployment as an Army Reserve officer to East Timor in 1999-2000.

Rohan has a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and law and politics/philosophy degrees from the University of Melbourne. He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia.
